We are currently seeking an experienced Head of Platform Engineering to lead our platform development and help shape the future of our technology landscape. You will be responsible for building and scaling high-performing engineering teams, driving the development of cloud-native platform capabilities, and championing the use of AI-powered engineering practices to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative solutions.
Hands-on AI engineering first: build a web-based version of our decision modeling tool, largely on your own with AI coding agents.
Drive hands-on software engineering activities, setting best practices, and establishing modern AI-native development methodologies.
Build, manage, and mentor distributed Platform Engineering teams across Tunisia and Germany, and grow a Platform Development Delivery Center in Tunis.
Oversee the development, using Java, cloud-ready services on our Decision Management Platform.
Ensure software stability, cloud operability and security built throughout the entire development lifecycle.
Establish modern, AI-native engineering processes that go beyond classic Scrum ceremonies.
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
8+ to 10+ years of experience in software engineering and teams' management, with significant experience in Java-based enterprise application development.
Proven hands-on use of AI in software engineering (agentic coding tools, AI-assisted development across the lifecycle), with measurable productivity gains.
Strong Java background and experience building cloud-ready services (containers, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure).
Proven experience leading engineering teams, including distributed and international teams across multiple locations.
Strong understanding of software architecture, system scalability, security principles, and reliability engineering.
Experience working in SaaS product environments; exposure to financial services, decision/rules technology, is highly desirable.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and business decisions.
Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and adoption of emerging technologies, particularly in AI-powered software engineering.
Fluency in English is required; French and/or Arabic proficiency would be considered an advantage.
